PLC Based Building Automation System

Qpro is appointed as the consultant for designing BMS for a large commercial building for an MNC client. The client uses only Siemens PLC and Schneider’s Wonderware Scada platform globally for their control system and SCADA.  It is used for alarm handling, data logging, and reporting and as a user interface for monitoring and controlling environmental parameters. System redundancy is provided at the hardware and platform level for critical Systems such as Chillers and high-side HVAC equipment. Users can Graphically monitor and control the system. Automatic remote notifications will be sent through e-mail.

The Control System controls and/or Monitors critical environment parameters such as Temperature, RH, Pressure, O2, Hydrogen and Air quality in Lab areas, comfort HVAC & Process chilled water System, Ventilation system, Gas leak detection system, Electrical meters and breaker, Water management system and Fire alarm System.  More than 25000 hardwired and soft integration points were integrated through MODBUS TCP, BACnet/IP, and Hart Protocol for accurate monitoring. Before the tender release, Qpro completed the design, including cable routing, device and sensor tagging, and system logic control flow. Sensors used in lab areas have a 1% accuracy and 3% accuracy in other areas. ( Picture credit - https://www.hughsaudiovideo.com/building-automation-system/)
