Security Risk Assessment & System Design for a Luxury Resort

Qpro has been appointed as a Risk Assessment and Security System Design Consultant for a luxury clinical wellness resort. Given the resort's focus on attracting high-profile guests, the client emphasized the importance of robust security measures. To address this, we conducted a comprehensive Security Risk Assessment to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks that could impact the safety of the resort's guests. Our risk assessment methodology included several key components:

• Asset Identification: Recognizing critical assets that require protection.

• Threat Assessment: Evaluating potential threats to these assets.

• Vulnerability Assessment: Identifying weaknesses that threats could exploit.

• Risk Calculation: Quantifying the level of risk associated with identified vulnerabilities.

• Risk Mitigation: Developing strategies to reduce or eliminate risks.

The above is a quantitative methodology in which scores were given for each parameter.

Utilizing PESTLE Analysis, we thoroughly assessed the location's risk factors. Based on our findings, we recommended implementing optimal security systems at strategic locations and advised on the appropriate deployment of physical security personnel. Some of our recommendations included:

• Advanced LiDAR-based Sensors: For perimeter protection, integrated with digital surveillance systems (CCTV) that utilize AI-powered threat detection through video analytics at a centralized command-and-control center.

• Strict Access Control Measures: Biometric authentication would be incorporated to ensure that only authorized personnel can access secure areas. Well-trained security staff, fire personnel, and an emergency rescue operation team would support this.

These measures are designed to create a secure environment for guests while maintaining the luxury experience that the resort aims to provide.
